At Greenpeace, we know that people getting involved is crucial to winning the world we want to see. That’s why we’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Network Coordinator/Organiser to help us harness the people power of our Greenpeace Australia Pacific Network! Our network brings people together to roll-out campaign messages and tactics, get hands-on experience with our campaigns and activities, volunteer in the office, get involved in nonviolent direct actions, and helping us raise vital funds.
This role aids the Network Coordinator in identifying, developing, growing and organising a base network of volunteers so that they have the ability to work as collective teams to maximise campaign efforts and outcomes. The role requires a mix of mobilisation and organising skill sets, as you’ll be helping to expand the pool of Greenpeace offline action-takers alongside supporting our emergent local action groups.
You will be someone who is excited to find new and improved ways of organising volunteers and increasing the capacity of the network, including identifying potential areas for growth. You’ll be great at establishing relationships and articulating the vision of campaign plans to supporter teams, and will confidently oversee communications with volunteers through face to face, social media, phone and CRM tools. The role also requires you to be able to confidently implement a variety of training programs and practices to build volunteers' abilities to undertake effective campaign activities.
You will also have:
