About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Merchandise Procurement, the role is responsible for stock procurement (new purchased, private ranges, new donated, donated) suitable for all sales channels, range planning (category and pricing), inventory management, stock allocations, pricing and margin management.

The role demands strong retail merchandise knowledge, a keen interest in fashion, a creative flair for product development and a data driven approach to inventory management and merchandise planning.

The role will drive business profitability by ensuring stores, catalogue and online sales channels are differentiated from our competitors with high quality, fast turning, fashionable product appropriate to local markets.

What you will bring:

• Extensive understanding and experience of specialty retail operations and compliance issues
• Strong understanding of retail strategy and proven implementation skills
• Strong communication skills across internal and external partners
• Proven financial and numerical skills
• Demonstrated experience of third party negotiation utilising a consultative approach to decision making
• Knowledge of Australian fashion industry and brands, understanding of fashion trends, and experience in fashion retail required
• A self starter with proven ability to operate effectively at an individual level and as part of broader team
• Positive attitude with a flexible approach
• Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
