The Secretariat coordinate the management and distribution of the Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund to support nationwide bushfire recovery in the aftermath of the 2019-20 Australian Bushfires. The Payment Systems Coordinator is a member of the Secretariat.

About the role

You will be responsible for leading and supporting the daily operations of the distribution of the Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund and associated financial & transactional processing requirements to meet our priority areas.

You will provide financial accounting support and direction to the team and oversee daily processing deliverables to ensure all transactions comply with current legislative, policy and business rule guidelines.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven track record in financial reconciliations and management of income strategies within a financial environment
  • Proven ability to map business processes and interdependencies through effective consultation and feedback
  • High-level understanding of CRM functions and/or financial reporting systems
  • Experience and/or ability to follow and implement organisational policies and contractual requirements relevant to the sector
  • Superior communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing, presentation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated experience in project management/change management in a call centre or financial environment
  • Demonstrated experience in CRM functions, IT processes, negotiating service level agreements and/or MOUs
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, skills and/or experience in finance and accounting, sales/customer service
